What is the first step I should take in enrolling my child into Nazareth?

Kindergarten enrolments are taken during the first term of the school year - the year before your child is due to commence school.  Enrolments for all other classes are accepted all year round. 

Enrolment interviews are usually held in May. You will receive a letter during April informing you of a time for you and your child to come in and meet with the Principal. Written offers of placement will follow in July.

Is it possible for us to have a look around the school?

You are most welcome to call and make an appointment to meet with the Principal, or book a time for a tour of the school grounds and buildings.


When will I find out whether my child has been accepted into the school?

Enrolment interviews are held in May and June. You will receive a letter or phone call during April informing you of a time for you and your child to come in and meet with the Principal. Written offers of placement will follow in July.


How much are the school fees?

Tuition Fees

$1,462 per family per year (payable in 3 instalments ... Term 1 $487.33, Term 2 $487.33, Term 3 $487.33)

Primary School SEDSO Building and Maintenance Levy

$820 per family per year (payable in 3 instalments... Term 1 $273.33, Term 2 $273.33, Term 3 $273.33) 

Resource Fee

$120 per student per year
The Resource Fee covers books, stationery, excursions and incursions. This varies from year to year depending on the needs of the grade. 

IT Levy

$50 per eldest child 
The IT levy applies to children from K to Yr 4, with years 5 and 6 on BYODD (Bring Your Own Digital Device).

Please note that tuition and SEDSO fees are only paid for the first child in each family, resource fees are paid per child.

Payments can be made in full or part using eftpos, BPAY, direct debit, cash, cheque or money order.

If you are experiencing financial hardship and are unable to pay fees, please discuss the situation with the Principal. Your situation will be treated with care and confidentiality and an appropriate arrangement may be made for you.  No student will be refused enrolment because of a family’s genuine inability to pay fees.


What are the opening hours of the school?

School office hours are 8:00am - 3:00pm.
School begins at 8:25am. Supervision begins at 8:00 am.
The school day concludes at 2:45 pm and parents are expected to collect their children as soon as possible after this time.

All students are encouraged to participate in extra curricular programs on offer. These programs develop students’ confidence, talents and sense of responsibility.

Is there an anti-bullying policy in place at the school?

At Nazareth we believe that all members of the community have the right to a learning and working environment free from intimidation, humiliation and harm. We all share a responsibility to create a culture of caring which will not tolerate bullying. We believe that bullying must be taken seriously and is not acceptable in any form. In witnessing Christian values we reject ideas, beliefs and behaviours, which marginalise or victimise people.

How can I / we become involved in the life of the school community?

All are invited to become members of the Parents and Friends Committee, who work collaboratively with the school and parish community about matters regarding quality education for all children, and general issues about school life, including social events, fundraising and finances.


Will I be able to come and help in the classroom?

Nazareth welcomes parents and grandparents to help in the classrooms. Each grade will be different, but parents often participate and contribute in the classroom.  This could include helping with reading and literacy programs, mathematics groups, technology, craft, or by offering expertise in a particular area of interest, such as Indigenous Education or Music.
